I'm Chris, co-CEO of Home Invest. I grew up homeless and living behind a dumpster.

I grew up believing I was worthless. I had no direction, and that belief led me into addiction. By 17, I was homeless: broke, broken, and convinced that life had already decided my story. At rock bottom, I met a man who had almost nothing. He lived with gratitude and faith. And he believed in me when I couldn't believe in myself.

That moment was the first time I saw what God's grace really looked like. It planted a seed that would shape the rest of my life. Years later, after building and selling companies, I realized what that man had known all along: wealth means nothing without impact. The more I gave, the more God gave back: not just in business, but in purpose.

That's why Home Invest exists. Believe in More isn't a slogan, it's our calling. Someone once believed in me, and now I believe it's our turn to do the same for others. Every property we invest in, every family we house, every community we touch is a reflection of that same faith.

We Started With One Belief

Nate Armstrong founded Home Invest in 2014 on a simple conviction: real estate should build wealth and change the lives of the people who live in it. That belief still runs through every deal we do.

We started in single-family homes, closed more than 500 transactions, and earned the trust of investors who wanted to build wealth outside equities. As the market shifted, we moved into discounted multifamily before the crowd. Today we've transacted on 1,600+ doors and manage a growing multifamily portfolio across multiple states.

Our co-CEO, Chris Lavin, grew up homeless and built everything he has from the ground up. That story shapes how we lead and who we serve.

For us, impact is the whole point. Because when you lead with faith and purpose, the returns take care of themselves.
